Hi there,
I did a search on the forum but couldn't find much on garment bags and specifically, this one:
Tumi Tri-Fold Carry-On Garment Bag

I have a lot of points on an employer's reward system, and this was one of the best values. I've looked at garment bags off and on, and went to a Tumi store over the weekend to check it out in the flesh.
My needs - I frequently travel on 1-2 day trips, where I'll either be wearing a suit/blazer and will need a button down the following day, or where I'll be dressed comfortably but need to wear a suit the following day or two. I'll also need to pack a pair of dress shoes in these cases. Occasionally, I'll have a 1-2 day business trip and stay for a weekend, in which case I'll bring along jeans, a sweater, etc.
Lately, I've been packing a roller-board, which fits everything nicely but feels like overkill, particularly when I have to go to a business meeting (I also have a briefcase). I've been thinking that for my needs, a garment bag could serve my purposes, with enough space to fit 1-2 suits and button downs, ample room for a pair of dress shoes, and enough room for jeans/shirts/etc.
For a short trip, I thought the garment bag could be fine to carry documents and even a small laptop. The few comments I came across derided the garment bag as being for people who can't pack efficiently, but I think it's better size-wise for my needs.
What does everyone think?
