First Time Flying Cathay - some questions (business class) please help

Hi Cathay forum - as a resident of the UK I usually fly British Airways but will this month be taking my first flight with Cathay Pacific when I fly LAX-HKG-BKK (21 hours total, eek). I will be flying Business Class. I have some questions which I would like you to advise me on.

I am going to be in Santa Barbara (SBA) in Southern California just before my 21 hour flight to Asia. I have my flight booked on an AA subsidiary arriving at LAX at 10:15 AM.

I know I have to change terminal to LAX international Terminal B and my take off with CX885 LAX-HKG is at 12.55PM.

I don't know LAX very well despite flying through it multiple times. Considering i'm going to have to collect my luggage from the SBA-LAX flight and then change terminal, check in, go through security etc...and get on the plane. I'm concerned its going to be extremely tight. As I'm using Avios on the flight i think its unlikely i'll be put on the next plane should I miss my flight. In addition i'd be messing up the rest of my itinerary should i miss this flight which I do not intend to do. Am I correct in thinking CX would not re-book me on their next flight should i somehow miss this flight?

What can I do to make my life easier? I have downloaded the CX mobile app so i'll definitely check in online before hand. Any other suggestions to smooth my worrisome mind or am I going to have enough time?

Once on board the LAX-HKG flight - what can I expect? I've flown British Airways Club World many times but I hear CX has a better Business Class product. Since it is a 15 hour flight i'm glad to be taking this class of travel. Will CX cabin crew wake me/let me sleep for meals if I request? Are there any seats which are preferred or any more importantly any particular seats to avoid? As its a 777 being used does this have CX's most up to date Business product installed?

Once I land in HKG I will have just over three hours until my connecting flight to BKK. Will I have to pass through immigration (i'm in transit, right)? As i'm flying Business to BKK as well I should be granted access to a lounge at HKG. Are there recommendations which one i use? Wing or Pier? Will I be able to shower at the lounge? Will my luggage be checked through all the way to BKK or will I have to claim my luggage and re-check it in?

i realise I've asked many questions but many thanks in advance for answering.
