Funny you mention this - my manager at work has a brother who is a yacht broker in Boca Raton. The brokerage is flying several groups of customers to the races for serious wining and dining and schmoozing etc.
Events like this always have a good deal of off-venue activities (similar to the Super Bowl - only about 15,000 tickets are made available to season ticket holders of the participating teams; the majority of the tickets go to corporate entities for use in things like sales contest winners, incentive events, etc).
