I understand that 'joint' isn't really 'joint' for transferring money from one institution to another...what I mean is that whichever of you is responsible for tax purpose for the account is considered 'primary' account holder. Usually the very first name appears on the statement.
I've been transferring to a joint account for a while now and haven't had a problem. I do not mean both of us transfer to the same account.
