I read through all your links and I must say I feel like a complete novice compared to your technological wizardry! I don't have the financial ability or technological insight to do all the things that you were able to do.

I will only be in Prague, and I will have to go old school with a phrase book and dictionary to decipher menus as need be. If the business trip is a success, and I plan to return to Prague in the future, I will try to do more. By then I may afford to buy a more sophisticated phone.

But I will keep your threads in my Czech file and refer to them in the future.
