If this is a general rant on fares and service fine but on an inflation adjusted basis over the past 10, 20, ... years fares are lower. The strong push by majority of consumers for lowest fare regardless to service is having it predictable effect.
Sure I would like better service but we are going to need to accept higher prices and allow the airlines to make money (and pay their employees appropriately). Reducing capacity to force better margins may be the way to make this work.
