Taking over a ressie from an agent booking is a major concession and favor and had BA done the norm, you would have been dealing with the agent.

Thanks - I am definitely not
expecting compensation, and I do realise that the agent went out of their way, so my request for compensation is mainly out of hope and under the (granted, cheeky) mantra of "you don't ask, you don't get".
My more serious points were centred around the handling of the codeshare cancellation issue though.
