I said I don't believe that this is Starwood's policy and I called to confirm that the lounge would be open precisely to avoid this kind of issue. The reply- I was told politely, but clearly, regardless of any Starwood policy that this was their hotel policy. And that the phone information is correct, the lounge is open but due to the holiday weekend they are not offering happy hour or breakfast and I do have free access to it.

Anyone know a good customer service email address for Westin or Starwood? The service here has been disappointing with several issues, not just this. Wish I had stayed at the good old Sheraton Arlington, she may not be pretty but at least the staff are knowledgeable and on the ball. And it is much easier to get your car out of the parking lot! Here you pay $26 per day and wait 30 minutes to get your car because of weekend staffing. (Then why no weekend parking rate???)
Did you contact the platinum concierge service? If not, you might want to reach out to our beloved Lurkers.
