Yes, it's definitely worth complaining. The standard BA reply is to try and bung you some Avios for your silence. 10 - 30k Avios (depending on class of travel) is always handy. Double that if you are a couple. It's potentially very lucrative the bigger your travelling party.
I'm now picturing a party of 10 all lined up either side of the aisle, with various limbs "casually" strewn in to the path of an oncoming cart...
