Smile United Missed flight rule - Restricted Ticket

Hi ,

I got a restricted ticket for a UA flight through Priceline. B'cos it is a Priceline ticket - it is very restricted with no changes allowed, no standby allowed etc .

I always give myself plenty of time to get to the airport prior to a departure. And I am aware of the flat tire rules that the airlines are generally willing to oblige if you just about miss the flight . Not always but generally. If you were stuck in traffic or got delayed at the rental car return and you missed your flight - UA generally puts you on the next flight assuming there are available seats.

But this is generally for tickets purchased traditionally. How does this work with respect to a fare purchased opaquely like Priceline ? Say you miss the flight by a few minutes - what does UA do ? Does it put me on the next flight ? Or do they say - sorry , bad luck - you got an opaque ticket and so we cant help you and you have to buy a new ticket.

Thanks.
