Prepare to be (further) disappointed. Unfortunately, the alliance
per se couldn't care less about situations such as yours. It is essentially a marketing consortium, established by the member carriers to promote their interests; passengers are just an unavoidable nuisance. Your only recourse is with the specific airlines involved. If OneWorld-the-umbrella-organisation actually cared about pax, there would be some sort of ombudsman with the authority to compel members to comply with established rules and procedures and/or penalise those who refuse. Not going to happen.
