I'll have to ask him the next time I speak/text him. There was no TSA note inside. However, I always place a twist tie through the zippers to "secure" a checked bag and he does not remember them being there when it got to his destination. The duffle just met the max dimensions, was not overstuffed (it had some room left to allow for compression.)
