I can only vouch for the Soori, stayed there last October. It was wonderful. The hotel IS remote and down a long road that is not so fun to drive, but that is part of the charm of the place. The other beaches in Bali as well as Ubud are totally built up. We walked a few miles down the beach from the Soori and there are absolutely no other hotels. We found the food at the hotel very good. Expensive for Bali, yes. But a tip is that they will let you order off the room service menu in the restaurant - even for dinner. My husband and I are both fussy eaters who can't eat any fish and they were really accommodating. One thing they could do better is add more fitness classes. The yoga studio is pretty small, maybe only fits 6 people, not so comfortable.
