If you are saying that the flights are not timed well for the SFO business traveler, you may well be right.
This might be what you'd expect, but it is certainly not how UA currently schedules the single daily SFO-MSP nonstop. The MSP-SFO flight is an early evening departure arriving SFO around 9 p.m., and thus requires an overnight to continue onward to Asia.
The schedule is not bad for SFO-based business travelers, however; it allows a few hours in the office on the morning of departure, and a full day in MN on the return.
