I just flew STL-DTW on a brand new 737-800 with the mood lighting and retractable overhead. Beautiful plane. I asked the FA as I was boarding if we had coats hooks on the new seats and he looked at me like I had 2 heads. Southwest just doesn't do that according to him. I was surprised by that.

Any thoughts?
If you have two heads it might explain the look. If not, I don't know.

Southwest airlines has an open coat hook policy. If there is one at your seat you are free to use it.

You may select any seat on the plane that has a coat hook. However, there are certain restrictions for sitting in the exit rows based on age whether you are capable of performing the tasks in an emergency, and whether you are a WN empoyee in uniform.
