I haven't heard of any seven day waiting period. My experience was that the 35% off cert appeared in my account overnight, less than 24 hours after I selected it. I was watching for the cert to appear and when I noticed that it had arrived in my account, I called Plat Concierge immediately to make my points booking and apply e cert to it. Quick and easy IME!
I just registered for the 25% off reward and got the email immediately.
I have a booking already at W Vieques Island for 5 nights from September 19-24. I asked the concierge to apply the 25% off amount but she said the award was not showing yet.
She did go on to say that once the award shows she will cancel the current award night stay ( 5 nights at 80k) and apply the bonus so the stay will be 5 nights at 60k and there shouldn't be any issues with that.
