My experience on this is limited - but I've used the AF premium economy fares (S, A, W) to fly to Asia, stopover in Europe and earn the bonus miles and EQMs for AF S,A,W fares posted to Skymiles. Sometimes I've booked on AF 57 stock, but have also called and had DL book on 06 stock to use an ECV. Once the fare booked on 06 stock was even a few cents cheaper.
