My son and I were in a lounge recently, which got busy, so we moved to the chairs and my son offered the sofa surrounding the shared table to some guys who were standing.
The two guys over the next 20 minutes invited 7 guests between them, then talked about the "system" of booking an exec room and inviting friends in.
My son was fuming. He tried to explain how lounges are supposed to work to them, and you invite a "friend" each.
The language became quite awful. Two ladies talked about boob jobs. Totally inappropriate, to the point we had to leave because I did not want my son to hear it.
Its about awareness of other people, not selfishness. Guests should enjoy ethe lounge, they have paid for it, but not at someone else's expense or to beat the system.
They likely didn't appreciate your son lecturing them on EL policies. I wouldn't either.
