(although I've generally stayed at the Kempinski - although you might not stay here, drop by for a drink near the pool at night and you'll know why I opt for this prop) even though theres a closer CY Arpt hotel, I've always consider the Polat to be another airport hotel, while the Bosphorus is at least w/i a reasonable distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Market........and take a ferry ride around the Bosphorus......might be chilly during your time of visit but worth it for the view.......

Boshorus is 104 and Polat is 111 Euros per night. We are just going to be tourists and seeking decent hotel that is central for tourists. Sure I want nicer place but we will mostly be out and about during the day. Any suggestions? I am Plat with Marriott. Do anyone know if they have a good events for New Years at either hotel?

I am a Marriott guy but can be dis-royal if one can suggest a better (more Turkish taste hotel, a la movie Taken 2)... haha.
