I like lounges on most of my stays unless there are rug rats on the loose. I've found that places like Homewood Suites, Residence Inn, etc, usually have a bunch of rug rats on the loose in the breakfast area.
I have been lucky in my few stays at Homewood Suites as they were all very business traveler, but in my experience I have found this statement really applies to Embassy Suites more than any other Hilton brand. Those hotels also have those atriums where if kids are having a ruckus downstairs, the noise can really travel.
