I often have to stay in the Renaissance Polat for my business purposes. It is ideally located for the airport, not for a city visit. The bathrooms date from the early 80s and service has been disappointing rather often lately.
Taking wifey on long over due trip and spending 4 nights in Istanbul prior to heading to Paris and Amstradam. Trying to decide between Ren Boshorus and Polat 12/29 - 1/2.
Boshorus is 104 and Polat is 111 Euros per night. We are just going to be tourists and seeking decent hotel that is central for tourists. Sure I want nicer place but we will mostly be out and about during the day. Any suggestions? I am Plat with Marriott. Do anyone know if they have a good events for New Years at either hotel?
I am a Marriott guy but can be dis-royal if one can suggest a better (more Turkish taste hotel, a la movie Taken 2)... haha.
