767-300 between IAH and GRU and back apparently has both front-facing and rear-facing seats in biz class. My wife doesn't even like to ride in rear-facing seats on a subway, so we wouldn't choose those, but I wonder if one feels any less privacy even in front-facing seats with two other passengers facing them (albeit with a partition, etc. between them). There are two middle sets facing front with only the partition between biz and first facing them, but on the date we're looking at, all the way in late January, those are showing as unavailable.
Then have to choose between a 737-800 for LAX-IAH, followed by a 757-200 LAX-LIH, or 777-200 domestic (2-2-2 in biz) for IAH-HNL, and HA 717 to LIH. Oh, the toils we go through to get to Hawaii (wife has a meeting there).
We used to be at least semi-satisfied with economy class, but then one trip I said I'd splurge on international biz class. The rest is history.
