The only downside I recall is that it's not close to Palma. Takes 15 min to drive into town. You either need a cab (which they'll call) or a car. We rented a car, so it wasn't too difficult to get in/out. They offer free parking on the premises.
+1. Stayed June 2013. Though hotel was virtually sold out (at least all suites) for a Russian mega-wedding and a German insurance top producers conference, got still upgraded to a lovely two-room family corner suite with two balconies. Very nice Plat recognition (GM's invite to a cocktail party, full buffet breakfast as an amenity -- pre-school kids included at no charge), fantastic attentive stuff, nice decor (my favorite -- full armoured knight on the horseback in the lobby ), free tennis court, very nice grounds, very clean indoor and outdoor pools. Would love to come back. Although all my stays in Spain were very nice (Westin Madrid, Alfonso Seville, Westin Valencia, LM Barcelona, LM Ra & Castillo -- upgraded to suites for our 3 weeks + everywhere), Castillo made me feel at home . I wish it was on the beach but fantastic anyways. Palma is €20 cab ride each way. One full day is enough there to see all of the city which is beautiful too.^
