This is exactly the sort of thing that I was talking about. As for Keyser's assertion that India isn't any more unsafe than any other country: just because it's not unsafe doesn't mean it's pleasant. Sure, stickyfingers85's girlfriend didn't get raped. Does that mean that she had a fun time in India? Was she treated well? The title of this thread is "Treatment of Females in India," not "Does Every Woman Who Goes to India Get Raped?"

The fact is that women in India are frequently NOT treated well. And it can get very unpleasant if you're female.
