I just love when European hotel employees arbitrarily reinvent the policies of American hotel chains and then try to defend their misinformation to guests who are familiar with the actual policies. In the end, they acknowledged that I was right, but she would have gladly had me choose one or the other. As others have stated, the Plat breakfast voucher is redeemable for the full buffet, which is nice, but the regular price of €34.50 per person would been pretty outrageous for what is being offered if I had been paying.
