Yes, I knew this but I thought that the NOS has more radiation than the old fashioned metal detector. Perhaps I was confused.
There is ionizing radiation (X-Rays, gamma rays, ....) and non-ionizing radiation(light bulbs, AM/FM radio, cell phones, ATC radar, wifi and the present NOS systems),
