A night of 9:25 in lie-flat slanted J is better than one that is 7:10 in BA F but requires a third stop and requires connecting in LHR with hardly any room for delays (according to FlightStats, BA 66 is > 15 minutes late 12% of the time, and if you miss conformance, the next flight to PAR is an AF arriving at 1225; the next BA flight arrives at 1300).
I doubt it's a consideration, but, given the same fare, the taxes will be lower too, by ~$50.
Ok, you're right. I did look into the TN flight, but I can't get myself off of OW. And you've convinced me that the longer flight from DFW is the way to go. I'm just spoiled because I usually find a way into F! (And the last time I was in a similar situation earlier this summer, I flew ORY-EWR on EC in J, and found it far inferior to the F experience, starting with the disinterested attitude of the staff at ORY, to the substandard IB lounge, to the now-past-its-prime J seating on EC, to my general distaste for the State of New Jersey and its airport!)
