To give good answers, the FT community would need to know whether the hotel is a member of a large chain, which might have a well-defined management training/progression program; and, if so, which chain it was.

If it is a small, independent hotel, then any type of progression program might be offered. It's sort of like asking what are the typical duties of an intern or management trainee in a business office. Depends whether it's a two-person CPA firm or, e.g., Goldman Sachs or JPMorgan/Chase.
