Hi folks, my first post here on FT. I have to make a short (2-3 day) trip to Shanghai from Raleigh Durham and so really need a flight I can comfortably sleep on. I did a trip to Hong Kong earlier this year and found biz class on Cathay to be really great -- I slept on the flight due to the nice sleeper lay-flat beds and had a very productive trip as a result.
It looks like AA (my usual airline) has those not-great biz class seats that don't really lay flat (?). So, who has the best sleeper seats to Shanghai? Extra credit if I can still get AA points (like I could with Cathay -- but I don't want two stops).

Single connection options between RDU and PVG:
1) UA via EWR or ORD
-I prefer EWR because the pmCO planes have a better C product.
2) DL via DTW (very nice biz class for a US carrier)
3) AC via YYZ
4) DL to JFK, MU from JFK to PVG
Between these, I would probably pass on MU unless it was really cheap, and choose among the others based on price.
