I put an expired sapphire through the shredder and the shredder wins!

Of course, that shredder is not of the cheapo variety (it'll break my parents' shredder if I run it through theirs). It was no easy feat -- I had to run it through the machine like 3 times before my information on my card is totally unrecognizable.

But it worked!
