If no seats were showing available and you didn't yet have a seat assignment, the #1 may have indicated that you were at the top of some list for a seat assignment at the gate, and #6 was your listing for an UG.
Take away the #1 after you get your Y seat assignment, and you're now #5 for UGs.
The only reason I think this is possible is because the DL.com upgrade list seems to commingle people waiting for UGs, regular standbys, NRSA standbys, and basically anyone who is waiting to be assigned anything, all in one list.
