Is there any asking and begging forgiveness for this or is it a waste of effort? Will they ever refund based on a set criteria -- IE: If they were not otherwise sold out that night? I'm a Diamond if it matters.
It's worth a try. However, the fact that the reservation has passed works against you. That room would prb not been sold OTW and returning your money as a no-show would be a loss. It was YOUR mistake after all.
I've had hotels adjust the dates for me when I caught the mistake quickly AND the date (mistaken & actual) of the stay had not already passed. When I made a mistake and the mistake stay date had already passed, I did not get a refund even though I was still staying there on the real date I had meant to book.
