You go to "My FlyerTalk" (upper left, under forum/thread name) and under "Your Control Panel" (not sure why it's "Your" instead of "My," but...) click on "Edit Profile Picture."
Last time I checked, and this may have very well changed, those pictures are tiny and require small uploads. I still think this is a fun thread for us to show off our mugs with gorgeous backgrounds.
