The Picadilly Line from the airport has large clear areas in the centre of each carriage for bags - I regularly travel on it with large bags, most recently with two 60lbers. Other lines don't have the dedicated space but, if you are not travelling in rush hour, trains shouldn't be too crowded. If one is, simply wait for the next one.

And don't forget to getan Oyster Card.
