What is the policy for getting a seat assigned in the First cabin on these flights? On the return there are already 2 F seats showing as occupied on expert flyer.

I rang the UK line but got a clueless agent who told me I should speak to BA (it is a BA ticket). I think he thought I wanted to upgrade to F even though I said it was a 2 class flight. I just want to know if I should be bothered trying to call back and getting another agent.
This has been discussed at length with another thread. BAsically one of those AA Award pax wanted to reserve them like in your case and he claims he has a F Class ticket so he should have priority over J class pax. (despite the flight does not offer F class).

The new policy now is - Only CX MPOs (DM and GO) can get allocated. Even on the day they will not give to others. Which I think is a good policy. They will leave it empty rather than assigning it to non MPOs. However onboard you might be able to ask the ISM whether you can sit there??

So you will have to rough it in J Class seats. Anyway why don't you take JL since you like them better?
