I don't understand why some sort of display screen at the podium can't indicate what zone is boarding. Insteading of just indicating "Boarding" why not show "Boarding zone 1"? For airports with the HD flatscreen TV like monitors behind the podium, it should be easy to program, but more difficult/impossible with current technology where they have the lighted dots sort of display that can only show a limited number of characters. (Airline, flight number, destination and departure time are more important, but destination weather isn't once boarding has started.)
