I recently found out from Concierge customer service that I can NOT use the Companion Flight benefit in conjunction with the weekly flight specials (e.g. if a flight is regularly 1,800 AIR MILES, but thanks to a special goes down to, say, 1350 AIR MILES, then you cannot redeem for a free companion flight).

Makes the companion flight deal not worth very much at all!
