You can't count on the "not standing" for anything past 8 months - kids do what they're ready to do, and usually at the least convenient time!

For a younger kid, often the bathroom sink and a washcloth will be more than fine. I can't imagine sticking an inflatable tub in my luggate - ick! If you think about it, the most important area on a diaper wearer to clean is the diaper area - sit 'em in the sink and you can wash that part just fine. The rest of the kid can easily be cleaned with a washcloth. For thousands of years humanity did just fine without inflatable baby tubs.

For an older kid - i.e. toddler, one of us just got in the shower with him and it worked fine - as long as we remembered to bolt the hotel room door so the little streaker didn't give everyone a show.
