We were on the Nieuw Amsterdam in May (6th HA cruise) and I thought the food in the Lido Restaurant was the best of any informal (buffet) restaurant on any cruise I've ever been on (47 total). Only ate in the main DR 5 times on a 15 night cruise, so hard for me to judge (and I saw nothing bad there), and absolutely no problems with service anywhere on the ship. Our cabin steward was excellent. Surprising in a way that it has stayed so good (and in most ways gotten better) since these days I pay around a third as much per night (adjusted for inflation) as I did on my first real cruises in the early 80's.
