I am planning to make some hotel reservations for 2014, and some of the placles I'm considering offer showers only. This is rarely an issue in North America, but in some old European city centres it can be tough to find hotels with full baths at a reasonable price. As a rookie dad this issue is a bit of a head-scratcher for me.

Can anyone advise as to whether it is a good idea to book a shower-only room when travelling with a child who will be around 8 to 18 months when the trips are taken? How do people deal with this?
