I had a one week stay here from the end of June to the beginning of July. In short, I was really happy. Traveled as a family of 4 (kids 5/2). Award stay in a premium room and upgraded to Kai Suite. Room had King in the BR, a murphy bed and pull out in the LR. Both rooms had patios with great views. Yes, lower floors facing the pool will hear music from Rumfire (bar restaurant). The room next door was also a Kai Suite but not connecting. I believe all Kai Suite rooms connect to a regular room next door.

The reviews here are quite accurate and I think they do a great job with SPG Plat recognition. Aspects I really liked:

- Lounge is the best in the US/CA. Staff there are really great and caring, especially with kids. Breakfast rotates but you can always ask for hard boiled eggs from the staff.
- Proximity to the malls and other hotels are really appealing.
- The separation of the regular pool to the adult pool is great. My kid utilized the pool slide pretty much all day.
- The Lawson's (similar to 7-11) is great to have in the lobby.
- The free family photo was a nice touch
- Concierge is really helpful and found ways to save us money (coupons and such).
- Also be sure to look for the Starwood coupon book (I forget what it is called) but they have a bunch of coupons for all the retail on their property.

I used a lot of Plat "Thanks" cards here and left a nice handwritten note to the GM and FD manager. I know I will be back.

If anyone has specific question, please PM me. The posts here made sense but I felt I wasn't able to connect it all until I got there. This was THE trip for my family so I wished someone was willing to talk/walk me through it. Happy to do that for a fellow FTer preparing their 'THE' trip.
