From the Swiss webpage:

Exception for tickets, where the origin or destination (furthest point) is in the USA: Pursuant to the new customer protection law by the US Department of Transportation, on itineraries involving multiple carriers, the baggage allowances and fees of the first carrier on interline flights or the first marketing carrier on codeshare flights will apply to all subsequent flights in the itinerary.
If your Swiss flight is booked as a US codeshare, you can bring three pieces, otherwise the LX allowance applies (e.g., 2x 23kg for *G in Y).
