With Aeroplan, always, and I mean always, call the operating carrier to verify all is well and there is a valid ticket. Aeroplan agents are notorious for messing up even a simple 5 min schedule change reissue.
I don't know why people are so against CA, transit in PEK and PVG is really easy, and after flying CA J and CA F a few times this summer, I would not hesitate to do so again. Blows AC out of the water., just avoid their ancient 747s
Yah that's what I did, I called each and every single operating carrier but somehow with the flight change, TK got screwed up.
It's not really flying CA per se, it's more like transiting in PVG/PEK that's an issue...In my case at least, with a somewhat 'tight' connection, I really don't want to be left stranded in China when there's only 1 flight that leaves at night to IST from PVG and CA doesn't fly to IST either.
