I'd never pay (personally at least) for a regular biz fare TT (unless I really needed the SC or had won the lottery).
This is my philosophy as well (for work or personally). When I have to fly TT, I look for the sale J fares across the three airlines. If I don't find any in that NZD600-700 each way range, then I either get a QF J Any Seat Award or buy a seat only NZ fare and use APD to upgrade (usually the former).
