Stayed there Friday night so we could make our 0 dark 30 flight. Booked 2 rooms on cash and points -6,000 and $110 each. Checked in at 11 AM right before a big bus from HNL. Michelle checked me in. Mrs. LAX and JFK not thrilled about the 10 minute check in until I came over with all of the freebies.

As a plat, you can take 500 pts or free valet. But with resort charge, valet is 10 bucks so no brainer. You also get a 100 point card that you hand over to someone at the hotel who has shown great service. I gave mine to Michelle, who was great. We got 2 drink tix per room. We got a make your own gift bag in their GIFT shop. My 9-year old filled it with candy for him and his sister. Plat bag has a retail value of $25 as they sell them right there. You can stick a bottle of wine in it if you so choose. Our upgraded room on 22nd floor on the beach was not ready but kids adjoining was so we dumped everything in there. Left my cell phone and they called me when the other room was ready. Nice touch.

The lounge does not disappoint. Killer views. Just awesome. I've never been higher in Waikiki. I'm not much for cheese plates but my little guys had apple pie and cheese. Nice way to come down after the chaotic pool scene.

I stay at the Moana when I'm there for work and get great service but with kids, this is the place to go. They were so great to me as a plat. This hotel was worth all of the nights I spend in SLC Sheraton and La Jolla Sheraton (yuck!).

My only negative is that the "adults pool" is Vegas. Not good Vegas. Ghetto Vegas.

Other than that, this was a great stay.
