I do like this bag/case but it is a hefty 2.8kg so the only way I could make it work where a weight limit applies would be to do the same as before, take out some travel cubes and wear them (it is simply too awkward to do that without travel cubes and I don't want to go down the Rufus Roo or the Jaktogo lady-in-a-nylon-bin-sack route). If there is a need for wheels the Osprey Ozone 18"/36L might suit the OP better as it weighs 1 kg less than the Gate8 bag (1.9kg)

Dealbreaker for me is that the Gate8 isn't quite as ideal for the stacking travel cube concept as other bags are.

Zuca Europe have said they will be introducing something later this year which should be of interest to those of us who need to adhere to a 20cm depth limit with our luggage. Am very curious to know what it will be.
