About to take my first UA flight from SIN-NRT-HNL in F. Just wanted to ask about other travellers' experiences with checking in an oversized piece of baggage on UA. The UA website states that 62 linear inches is the maximum size to avoid charges however my suitcase is slightly over that at 66 inches. Do check-in agents generally exercise a little bit of flexibility or will they go by the book and charge me $200 - I will only be checking in 1 bag out of my 2 bag allowance. Many thanks in advance.
