I agree with you, experience some of these on recent flights where the CSM has been walking round the plane back and forth and heard them talking to the crew bout the various problems, mostly the IFE, along with some pax issue. Really does make me think what does their so-called purser/FTC do or have they been given the proper training to deal with these situations.
On the WW fleet our Pursers are very experienced and can sort out most problems which allows the CSD to be as IAMORGAN said "the de facto Club Purser" Plus, the plus being all the things we did before we were stuck on the end of a trolley.
