When comparing from the perspective of TT, I'd be even more reluctant to put NZs product above EKs. Obviously flights to Australia are brief affairs, and EKs departures by default are in the early evening. It is a great time to experience everything they have on offer. If you're looking to sleep on a long haul flight (especially at night) then NZs product is great and on the 777-300 is really great. It just depends on what you're looking for. As an overall experience, trans-tasman, and business class between NZ and EK - EK is IMHO a clear winner.
