Someone mentioned to me that this last leg was the killer on the trip to HNL, and I'm starting to think it will be. We are both relatively tired already. Had a bit of a snooze on the IAD-LAX flight; the FAs were pretty good but the seats were pants. Cookies were very moorish at the end of the flight.

Roll-on Hawaii...
Yes, it's a long last flight, I travel a fair bit, including regular hops to Honolulu, but even I struggle to stay awake on that particular service, especially if it is a clapped out 757. You'll probably lose the internet an hour or so after departure, if it is offered. The crewing is interesting: it's the most sought after route on AA and so their most senior crew bid for, and get that route. Now that is a mixed blessing, most of the cabin crew could easily fly the aircraft if they had to, on the other hand they can be a little battle worn in the fight for delivering customer service......

If you want to be Celeb spotting you need to get on the Long Beach service, you are more likely to see them on American Eagle than on mainline AA.

Grab a bottle of Evian / San Pelligrino from the fridge on the right - it can be a while before the service starts out of LAX.
